Summery: From beginning July, 1992, the Department of Internal Medicine coordinated to apply Seabuckthorn Seed Oil to the chemotherapy of cancers, and to engage in check observation on digestive tract's reaction, appetite, hemogram change and immune index, etc. after the patients orally took Seabuckthorn Seed Oil. The results showed that the curative effect is better.

Abstract: We observed the function of Seabuckthorn Seed Oil to the gastric ulcer used as a subject of experiment. The result indicate that Seabuckthorn Seed Oil have obvious prevention and cure function to some kind of gastric ulcers used as a subject of experiment, such as gastric ulcer of rylarus ligation, gastric ulcer of irritability and gastric ulcer of reserpine. The experiment results are the incidence of occurring ulcer is lower, the index of occurring ulcer is reduced , the gastric juice secretion is decrease. Seabuckthorn Seed Oil is a hopeful pharmaceuticals to cure gastric ulcer.

The Anti-Cancer Effects of Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice & Seabuckthorn Oil and the Influence on Immune Function

Abstract The academic thesis has researched the anti-activation of Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice & Seabuckthorn Oil in and out of mice bodies and their influence on weight of immune organs & immune function. The results indicate that three times of inhibitory rates for small mice grafting S180,B16 and P388, are all over 30% when injecting Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice into their abdominal cavities; three times of inhibitory rates for small mice grafting S180, are over 40% when their orally taking Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice. And three times of inhibitory rates for small mice grafting B16 and S180, are all over 30% when injecting seabuckthorn oil into their abdominal cavity. By the handling of statistics, there are obvious difference in the above results compared to the contrasting groups. The Seabuckthorn Juice & Seabuckthorn Oil are not obvious influence on the thoracic gland and the spleen weight of small mice contracting tumors. The Seabuckthorn Juice makes B16 small mice contracting tumors increase their red blood cells and white blood cells obviously, and makes the engulfing rates and the engulfing index of phagocytes in small mice' abdominal cavity go up obviously. The experimental results out of bodies, indicate that the inhibitory rate of S180 is 87% when the concentration of Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice is 10 µg/ml; of P388, 59%; of SGC-7901 of human stomach's cancer cell strains, 88%; that inhibitory rate of L1210 cells is 100% when its concentration is 1.9 µg/ml. The purpose of the experimentation lies in the research that the anti-cancer activation of grafting tumors and of their influence on the weight of abdominal cavities & spleens and immune function when taking orally or injecting Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice & Seabuckthorn Oil, and of the inhibitory effects on different tumor strains when Seabuckthorn Fruit Juice is applied out of bodies.
