Schizandra berries are known as “the fruit of five flavors” in China. It is said to have the five primary elements of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy/pungent. The berries can be infused like a tea and provide a very tart and tasty caffeine free infusion. The aroma and flavor of a Schizandra has distinct notes of cranberry, rose, geranium flowers and citrus. An infusion of Schizandra is blushing pink with a soft body and long lingering fragrance. This rare vine fruit also goes well with a bit of honey. It is also used as ginseng is, it's an adaptogen herb. Which means it can be used wherever the body needs it.

In these beautiful teas, silver fir needles are sewn together around different flower combinations such as chrysanthemum flowers, carnations, calendula, amaranth, jasmine, lily. When the silver fir needles unfurl, flowers which have been carefully sewn or strung are released. Some are in garland shapes, some act as snow falling gently, some open to reveal a flower deep within, some open, expanding into bouquets of flowers. As the flowers gently unfurl, the needles open into a starlike shape. These teas are beautiful and unique and the flavors are a perfect balance of green tea and floral sweetness. You will need a glass teapot [below] to fully appreciate the beauty of these flowers unfolding. Or a large, wide glass or pitcher.

Each Tea Posy is $3.25 each. We have Tea Posies for sale separately or 6 for $18.00. We have a limited number of glass teapots. Each flower bud makes at least 34-40 oz of tea, depending on your preferred strength. If you would like to see the video of these opening, go here: Tea Posies
